These terms & conditions, together with our website terms & conditions of use, privacy policy and security policy, constitute our agreement with you, the renter, for the services we provide in arranging for the supply of car hire. Together, these are referred to as ‘our terms’. These terms shall apply to all contracts for the provision of our services to the exclusion of all other terms & conditions. No conduct by EnjoyCarHire.com shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of any other terms. Acceptance of the services or signature on any agreement shall be deemed conclusive evidence of your acceptance of these terms. We may change the terms from time to time and you, the renter, are advised to check the website to consider any changes to the terms which apply to you. Your hire of any car is subject to the terms & conditions of car hire imposed by the car hire company and to the corresponding laws of the country and/or state in which the rental takes place. Individual restrictions may also apply to your car hire.

 

You will be provided with a car by us either directly or as agent. The capacity in which we act depends on our relationship with the car hire company.

These terms apply to any booking that you, the renter, make with us on or through this website, so you should make sure that you are aware of their contents. Both our terms & conditions and those of the car hire companies we work with contain some exclusions and limitations of liability.

Your booking on this website is conditional on you, the renter, accepting our terms. If you, the renter, do not agree with any part of them, you must not proceed with your booking. By confirming that you wish to book a car through this website you, the renter, indicate that you have read and understood and accept the relevant terms. If there is any part that you, the renter, do not fully understand, or if you have a query about the car hire or any other product, please contact us.


Confirming your booking and taking payment

 

In most cases, we will confirm your booking immediately. But sometimes, we need to wait for the car hire company to confirm that a car is available. As soon as they confirm your car, we will let you know, and take the money from your card.

 

In very rare cases a rental company can’t confirm that a car as available. If this happens, we will tell you, and no charges will be made on your card.

When you book on our site, we will email you to confirm its availability within 48 hours of booking (or, if earlier, at least 24 hours before your pick-up time). We will then send you a booking confirmation.

 

You will not have a contract until we have confirmed your booking and taken the payment. Even if someone else is paying, the contract will be with the person who made the booking, and we will send all correspondence to the address they provide. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms shall entitle any third party to any benefit or rights pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999


Accuracy of Information

 

Although we strive to ensure the accuracy of the information on this website, neither we nor our affiliates, suppliers or agents can be held responsible by you for the accuracy of such information. It is solely your responsibility to evaluate the accuracy, completeness and usefulness of all information provided on this website.


What is included/excluded in the price?

 

Please read the specific terms & conditions relating to your car hire, which you will see during the booking process within both the “more information” link next to the car of choice and at the end of the booking process in the “terms and conditions” link.

 

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

 

Collision Damage Waiver reduces the renter's liability from the total cost of the damage to an excess amount, where applicable, unless the renter intentionally causes the damage, is under the influence of drink or drugs, or uses the car in a prohibited or negligent way – such as driving off main roads or hiring to other parties. CDW covers liability for damage to the car or its parts. In most locations, windscreens, tyres, undercarriage, replacement locks, replacement keys and towing charges are not covered under the CDW policy. Other exclusions may apply and can differ between car hire companies, so we recommend checking these exclusions with the car hire company when picking the car up.

You will be required to leave a deposit to the value of the insurance excess when collecting the vehicle or in cases of zero excess a deposit for uninsured parts of the vehicle. If the vehicle is damaged during the rental, you will be charged up to a maximum of this amount. In the event that the renter has behaved recklessly or negligently or driven under the influence of drugs or alcohol you may be liable for the full cost.

 

Please note: Enjoy Car Hire offer added products called "Excess Protection" which is available during your booking process. Details are shown below.

 

Theft Protection (TP)

 

Theft Protection reduces the renter's liability in the event of theft or damage caused due to theft or attempted theft of the car to an excess amount, where applicable. Negligence connected with the theft of/damage to the car may lead to the car hire company requiring the full amount for the cost of the car.

 

Enjoy Car Hire’s protection waiver products

 

Enjoy Car Hire offer two types of waiver products and depending on your customer journey one of these two will be offered at check out.

 

Excess Protection

 

For an additional daily rate, you can reduce your excess exposure to nil with our "Excess Protection" policy. You are covered up to £3,000 for a series of incidents during any single vehicle rental agreement for the reimbursement of the excess applied by the car rental company.

 "Excess Protection" also covers you for any physical loss or damage to the Rental Vehicle for which You are responsible under the terms of the Vehicle Rental Agreement, including:

  • Damage to the vehicle
  • Fire;
  • Theft;
  • Vandalism;
  • Towing costs relating to the loss or damage;
  • Loss of use of the rental vehicle
  • Wheels;
  • Tyres
  • Windscreen and other glass;
  • Underside of the vehicle
  • Roof
  • Locks and Keys

The cost of our "Excess Protection" is clearly displayed on the car rental details page of the booking process.

Please note that "Excess Protection" works on a pay and claim basis and therefore you will still need to leave the excess deposit amount blocked on a credit card in the name of the main driver.

 

Rentalcover.com Full Protection

 

If you buy Full Protection, RentalCover.com will email you the policy documentation. Please contact RentalCover.com directly if you would like them to resend the email or post you a printed copy. Full details of this cover can be found by pressing the “read more” link on the “Full Protection” section of the website.


Driving Licence

 

Every driver must have a full, valid driving licence they have held for at least 1 year (this can vary per rental provider and will be confirmed during the booking process). Expired or provisional licences will not be accepted.
When booking the car, Enjoy Car Hire must be advised of any endorsements / points on a driving licence; we reserve the right to refuse the booking on this basis, according to the terms & conditions of the car hire companies we work with.


As of June 8th 2015, any driver with a driving licence issued by the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority) in England, Scotland or Wales must visit View Driving Licence no more than 21 days before the start of their rental.


When picking up the car, every driver must present their licence. They must also keep their driving licence with them at all times throughout the rental, for perusal by local authorities.


No refunds will be given if a car hire company refuses to supply a car because of undisclosed endorsements – or because you cannot provide a driving licence, its counterpart, or the required information about endorsements.


Please note that an International Driving Permit does not replace the requirement for a regular driving licence: a full driving licence in the main driver’s name will still be required in order to rent the car, and every driver requiring an International Driving Permit must keep both documents with them at all times.


All drivers must read the terms and conditions of the car hire company providing their car prior to pick-up, as certain companies and locations may have additional requirements. 

 

Security Deposits

 

 Please note that our local supplier will require a security deposit at the start of the rental to cover the insurance excess and/or fuel, this will be an amount blocked on the credit card of a driver on the rental agreement. The security deposit is returned/unblocked at the end of the rental provided the car is returned in the same condition as rented. The amount held will be clearly shown within the “more information” link next to the car of choice and within the specific terms and conditions of the rental provider before payment is made.

 

CASH OR DEBIT CARD DEPOSITS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

 

On collecting the vehicle please ensure you inspect the vehicle for any damage & report any problems to the local supplier before departing the location. We highly recommend taking photos/videos of the car and ensure you are happy that the check out documentation is correct showing all existing damages. Failure to do this could result in charges being made if they are not shown on the check out documentation and as such any damages will be considered new damages.  We also recommend checking the vehicle with our local supplier when returning to ensure any damage is agreed.  

 

Renter’s Responsibility

 

All rentals are charged on a 24-hour basis. A full day is still charged for any portion of a 24 hour period used. The renter is responsible for all tolls, congestion charges, parking & traffic fines.

 

Flight Information

 

If you are collecting your vehicle from an airport you should advise Enjoy Car Hire of your arrival flight number on booking the vehicle, or as soon as possible. If your flight is delayed or cancelled we would advise to contact the rental provider immediately to advise them. Failure to advise of delays/cancelations could result in your rental being cancelled.

 Enjoy Car Hire will not be held responsible if the vehicle is not provided or available due to a late arrival of flights if not advised of delays or your flight number has not been provided.

 

Complaints

 

We hope that your booking will be enjoyable and trouble-free. However, if you do encounter any problems please speak to the local car rental provider initially if you remain dissatisfied, please contact Enjoy Car Hire on 0845 900 3727 or +44845 900 3727, we will provide as much assistance as we can.

 

Please Note: If you do not take these steps, it is very hard for us to deal with issues that are raised after your rental has ended and we may not be able to fully resolve them. If you take these steps and wish to follow up your complaint when you get home you must write to customersupport@enjoycarhire.com within 28 days of your return. You will receive an acknowledgement of your email within 3 working days and we endeavour to answer all customer service queries within 28 days of receiving them. Sometimes we can experience delays if we are liaising with the suppliers. To help us process your query quicker please provide Enjoy Car Hire with your reservation number and include all paperwork from the supplier relating to your rental if possible.

 

Amendments

 

No charge will be made for amending your booking before the start of your rental. This excludes any cost increases caused by a material change to the booking, such as its duration or the car class – or by the car hire company changing its rates following the original booking. With certain car hire companies, amending the driver’s name or the pick-up location may require the cancellation and re-booking of a rental. 

 

Cancellations

 

Cancellations can be made with a full refund of the deposit up until 48 of the rental starting. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the collection of the vehicle the deposit is no refundable.

 

Enjoy Car Hire offers “Cancellation Protection 48” which can be purchased at check out for an additional cost will allow cancellations to be made up until the time of collection. A full refund of the deposit will then be made minus the cost of the “Cancellation Protection 48” product.

 

Refunds will also not apply to no shows; including non-receipt of a vehicle due to insufficient documentation or late arrivals where the vehicle is not provided.

Enjoy Car Hire is unfortunately not able to refund any unused days or part days if the vehicle is returned early on any rental. Some of our car rental partners may agree on some compensation but this is not guaranteed and is at their discretion.

 

In case of an obvious error (including any error in electronic labelling, error in data entry, error of calculation or clerical error) resulting in the display of a price which has obviously been displayed by mistake, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation, even if it was automatically confirmed by Enjoy Car Hire you will be informed of this as soon as possible, to allow you to make a reservation at the correct price, if you wish to. In any case, you will not be entitled to claim compensation from Enjoy Car Hire on the grounds of the cancellation or the related costs, if any, that have been incurred due to an erroneous reservation which has been cancelled.

 

We reserve the right to cancel your booking in the event the rental provider stated on your rental voucher ceases to exist trading due to insolvency or closure of branch/branches. In such circumstances, we may cancel your booking with no liability whatsoever. In the event that your booking is cancelled, a full refund will be made of all monies previously paid to us to the person/s that originally paid for the booking. 

 

Fuel Policies

 

Enjoy Car Hire work with a number of suppliers and the fuel policy differs per supplier and can be found in the "more information" section of the quote screen. In all cases, fuel is not included in the final price quoted.

 

Enjoy Car Hire ONLY works with companies with a “fair fuel” policy, this means all of our quotes come with a customer friendly policy that allows the customer to return the car with the same amount of fuel as the vehicle was collected. We also promise that there will be no administration fees charged for this service.

 

Unlimited Amendments and Cancellation Protection

This product is no longer available from 1st September 2018 and the terms below only relates to already purchased products and should not be confused with the “Cancellation Protection 48” product.

 

If “Unlimited Amendment and Cancellation Protection” is purchased all amendments will be subject to no further charge and cases where the booking is cancelled a full refund will be given (excluding the amount taken for the Unlimited Amendments and Cancellation Protection).
