Drivers Licence Requirements

 

When collecting the vehicle from our local supplier all drivers will need to provide a full driving licence in their name. For UK drivers with the new style licence, both the paper & photo parts may be required. Please note an International Driving Licence/Permit does not replace the requirement for a regular driving licence. If using an international licence/permit, a full driving licence in the principal driver's name will still be mandatory in order to rent the vehicle.

 

Since June 8th, 2015 the UK paper counterpart licence is no longer issued by the DVLA and will not be requested on arrival by our suppliers. If you are hiring a car in the UK then you will need to provide a code which is obtained on the DVLA website.

 

If you have not updated your UK licence to the new card style then your full paper licence is still valid until the expiry date, please note a code will still be needed when hiring in the UK. (this is subject to change, please see DVLA website)

 

Security Deposits

 

Please note that our local supplier will normally require a security deposit at the start of the rental to cover the insurance excess & fuel, this will be an amount blocked on the credit card of a driver on the rental agreement. The security deposit is returned/unblocked at the end of the rental provided the car is returned in the same condition as rented.

 

CASH OR DEBIT CARD DEPOSITS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

 

On collecting the vehicle please ensure you inspect the vehicle for any damage & report any problems to the local supplier before departing the location. We also recommend checking the vehicle with our local supplier when returning to ensure any damage is agreed.

 

Insurance

 

All rentals include collision damage waiver & theft protection. You may be required to leave a deposit to the value of the insurance excess when collecting the vehicle or in cases of zero excess a deposit for uninsured parts of the vehicle. If the vehicle is damaged during the rental, you will be charged up to a maximum of this amount. In the event that the renter has behaved recklessly or negligently or driven under the influence of drugs or alcohol you may be liable for the full cost. Please note in common with most insurance policies there are exceptions to the insurance cover which may include windscreens, locks, tyres, locks, the underside or interior of the vehicle, towing charges & replacement keys and documents. Please check your agreement fully at the time of renting for exact exclusions.

 

Please note: Enjoy Car Hire offer added products called "Excess Protection" and “Excess Protection PLUS+” which is available during your booking process. Details of these insurances are shown below.

 

"Excess Protection"

 

For an additional daily rate, you can reduce your excess exposure to nil with our "Excess Protection" policy. You are covered up to £3,000 for a series of incidents during any single vehicle rental agreement for the reimbursement of the excess applied by the car rental company.

 "Excess Protection" also covers you for any physical loss or damage to the Rental Vehicle for which You are responsible under the terms of the Vehicle Rental Agreement, including:

  • Damage to the vehicle
  • Fire;
  • Theft;
  • Vandalism;
  • Towing costs relating to the loss or damage;
  • Loss of use of the rental vehicle

The cost of our "Excess Protection" is clearly displayed on the car rental details page of the booking process.

 

Please note that "Excess Protection" works on a pay and claim basis and therefore you will still need to leave the excess deposit amount blocked on a credit card in the name of the main driver.

 

"Excess Protection PLUS+"

 

For an additional daily rate, you can reduce your excess exposure to nil for the exclusions to the “Excess Protection” with our "Excess Protection PLUS+" policy. You are covered up to £1,000 for a series of incidents during any single vehicle rental agreement for the reimbursement of the excess applied by the car rental company.

  • Wheels;
  • Tyres
  • Windscreen and other glass;
  • Underside of the vehicle
  • Roof
  • Locks and Keys

The cost of our "Excess Protection PLUS+" is clearly displayed on the car rental details page of the booking process.

 

Please note that "Excess Protection Plus+" works on a pay and claim basis and therefore you will still need to leave the excess deposit amount blocked on a credit card in the name of the main driver.

 

Cooling Off Period

 

If within 14 days of purchasing the “Excess Protection” and/or “Excess Protection PLUS+” you decide that it does not meet your needs, your premium will be refunded in full. If however within the 14 days you have travelled, made a claim or intend to make a claim, or if the policy/rental period has started, then the premium will not be refunded.

 

After 14 days of purchase: If you decide to cancel the policy after 14 days of purchasing, then no refund of premium is available.

 

Renter’s Responsibility

 

All rentals are charged on a 24-hour basis. A full day is still charged for any portion of a 24 hour period used. The renter is responsible for all tolls, congestion charges, parking & traffic fines.

 

Flight Information

 

If you are collecting your vehicle from an airport you should advise Enjoy Car Hire of your arrival flight number on booking the vehicle, or as soon as possible. Enjoy Car Hire will not be held responsible if the vehicle is not provided or available due to a late arrival of flights if your flight number has not been provided.

 

Complaints

 

We hope that your booking will be enjoyable and trouble-free. However, if you do encounter any problems please speak to the local car rental provider initially if you remain dissatisfied, please contact Enjoy Car Hire on 0845 900 3727 or +44845 900 3727, we will provide as much assistance as we can.

 

Please Note: If you do not take these steps, it is very hard for us to deal with issues that are raised after your rental has ended and we may not be able to fully resolve them. If you take these steps and wish to follow up your complaint when you get home you must write to customersupport@enjoycarhire.com within 28 days of your return. You will receive an acknowledgement of your email within 3 working days and we endeavour to answer all customer service queries within 28 days of receiving them. Sometimes we can experience delays if we are liaising with the suppliers. To help us process your query quicker please provide Enjoy Car Hire with your reservation number and include all paperwork from the supplier relating to your rental if possible.

 

Amendments

 

Amendments to a booking will be subject to a £5 amendment fee per amendment made, except in the case the amendment is within 48 hours of the booking being placed on the website. 

 

Cancellations

 

Any cancellations made after 48 hours of placing the booking will be subject to no refund; this also applies to bookings that are cancelled 48 hours or less before the rental is due to start. This also applies to no shows; including non-receipt of a vehicle due to insufficient documentation. Enjoy Car Hire is unfortunately not able to refund any unused days or part days if the vehicle is returned early on any rental. Some of our car rental partners may agree on some compensation but this is not guaranteed and is at their discretion.

 

In case of an obvious error (including any error in electronic labelling, error in data entry, error of calculation or clerical error) resulting in the display of a price which has obviously been displayed by mistake, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation, even if it was automatically confirmed by Enjoy Car Hire you will be informed of this as soon as possible, to allow you to make a reservation at the correct price, if you wish to. In any case, you will not be entitled to claim compensation from Enjoy Car Hire on the grounds of the cancellation or the related costs, if any, that have been incurred due to an erroneous reservation which has been cancelled.

 

We reserve the right to cancel your booking in the event we have reasonable grounds to believe it is fraudulent. In such circumstances, we may cancel your booking with no liability whatsoever. In the event that your booking is cancelled, a full refund will be made of all monies previously paid to us to the person/s that originally paid for the booking.

Fuel Policies

 

Enjoy Car Hire work with a number of suppliers and the fuel policy differs per supplier and can be found in the "more information" section of the quote screen. In all cases, fuel is not included in the final price quoted.

Enjoy Car Hire ONLY works with companies with a “fair fuel” policy, this means all of our quotes come with a customer friendly policy that allows the customer to return the car with the same amount of fuel as the vehicle was collected. We also promise that there will be no administration fees charged for this service.

 

Cancellation Protection

 

Cancellation Protection is available to purchase on the final stages of the booking process and can only be purchased at the time of the booking. If Cancellation Protection is purchased, a full refund of the deposit (excluding the amount taken for Cancellation Protection) will be given. In a case of a no-show, we are unable to refund any money. The Cancellation Protection is charged at £2.95 per rental.

 

Please note: When cancellation protection is taken it only covers the fee paid for the vehicle and not the added "Excess Protection" and/or “Excess Protection PLUS+”, this product has a 14 day cooling off period and any cancellation of this product after 14 days will not be refunded.

 

Unlimited Amendments and Cancellation Protection

 

Unlimited Amendments and Cancellation Protection is available to purchase on the final stages of the booking process and can only be purchased at the time of booking. If Unlimited Amendment and Cancellation Protection is purchased all amendments will be subject to no further charge (usually £5 per amendment) and cases where the booking is cancelled a full refund will be given (excluding the amount taken for the Unlimited Amendments and Cancellation Protection) Unlimited Amendments and Cancellation Protection is charged at £5.95 per rental.

 

Please note: When cancellation protection is taken it only covers the fee paid for the vehicle and not the added "Excess Protection" and/or “Excess Protection PLUS+”, this product has a 14 day cooling off period and any cancellation of this product after 14 days will not be refunded.
